Please Respect My Rights
I've worked hard to create these graphics, and web pages, please respect my work and consider them all under copyright. These pages were designed by me, please do NOT claim these pages as your own. Do NOT save the pages in order to upload them to another server. Do NOT copy and paste the page code or other items without providing a link to this site.I don't mind if you save a background, grab a sound file, or save a link button graphic or two from here to use on a personal web site; however, I do ask that you post a link back to my site and/or give credit where credit is due. Let your visitors know where you got the graphics from, and don't claim that "YOU" made them. I don't even mind if you save a page (such as one of my help files) to your hard-drive for your own personal future reference, but do not post it in any other forum without prior written consent. If you want to use something from this site on a commercial web-site ... contact me, I'm sure we can work something out. If it is not a graphic that I created, I will tell you and you are free to do with it as you wish within the confines of the original artists copyright.
Linking:
If you do decide to use a resource from this site please read the following:1: Linking to this site? Great! Let me know and I'll return the favor.
2: Please do NOT use the graphics on this site by linking directly to this server. Linking directly to a graphic or resource on another persons' server or site is called "Hot Linking", or "Bandwidth theft", and is an extremely poor practice. Other than a direct link to web-friend.com, hot linking is NOT something I appreciate. This is highly unethical. It is considered very poor 'netiquette' and it steals away from me and my visitors the ability to download and view resources quickly, AS WELL AS slowing down the loading time of YOUR page. If you want to use something that you find here - then save it, download it to your computer, then upload it to the server you use for your web sites, and remember to provide a link back to web-friend.
3: The ONE exception to hot-linking is for new webmasters who wish to link to this site, but are not sure how. You may use the code provided on the AddURL page to post a link to this site.
4: I do check to see who links to this site, and review the logs of what calls upon my files. There have been cases where a person who was hot-linking to another site awoke to find some very crude or objectionable material in place of the items they thought they were posting, simply because the originating webmaster replaced the material on his or her own site with a retaliatory source file. I have never done this yet, but, It has been known to happen.

Copyright is a protection for people that create their own work, that includes (but is not limited to) artistic, musical, scientific endeavors, in both published and unpublished forms. If the works are tangible or fixed in a material form (meaning you can see, hear, or touch it) - it may be protected by copyright law. Be it a song, poem, dance move, photograph, graphic, or even HTML coding that can be printed onto paper, recorded by VCR, tape recorder, or saved to a hard drive, it may be subject to copyright protection. Copyright laws give the creator, artist, writer, etc. the exclusive right to reproduce, copy, and display that work publicly. Exclusive means that only the creator of the said work/creation, may copy, save, distribute or display that work, not just anyone who has seen it, has access to it and decides they want to grab it.
