web-friend.com update status: (09.04.2003)

September 14:  A continued busy work schedule has limited new postings.  Virus and Important issues, along with the link exchange requests have consumed the bulk of my webmastering time lately.  There are a few new wallpapers, and new help files in the works - I hope to have time to complete these by mid-October.

August:  A busy month for your webmaster due to the virus issues.  Fewer new pages and updates than I would have liked due to the hectic schecule, but I did get a "news" page posted on viruses to go along with the old "virus, hackers, and spyware" info page.  Also got a few new wallpapers posted in public and members section toward the end of the month. To be honest, September doesn't look very great for time in regards to site updates, but hopefully by mid-October I'll have a few free days to re-work the look and feel of the site.

July:  Finally updated the members site, and added a couple new wallpapers to the public section.  Many new NASCAR wallpapers were added.

June: After a hard drive failure, the updates to the site slowed to a crawl, but 2 weeks of installing a new hard drive, recovering e-mail, and re-installing programs put be back on track toward the end of the month.

May 15: After getting some very helpful feedback from other webmasters, I started reworking my home page and site map.  This should be done by the end of May.  At that time, I will work on the Help section to give it a more centralized and consistent feel.

On May 4 2003, the beta version of this site was pushed out.  At that time I took the web-friend.com site down for about 1/2 hour as I removed old files, and uploaded the new site.  It is possible that a few graphic files, sound files, or other related files were not replaced.  As I check the site out over the next few weeks, I'll replace any that were forgotten.

While I never consider the site a "finished product", it is now much closer to what I envisioned as a quality site.  Many thanks to so many people who offered suggestions on color, content, layout, graphics, and other items.  The input I received from them was invaluable in helping me make the site a little more presentable.
