| Splash 1 - 103 kb. | 2 scenes, A welcome scene and brief menu scene with reshaped buttons, and some sound effects. | Actually my second effort, the first was of very little interest. created with Macromedia early in 2002, late 2001 |
| FL Index - 21 kb. | A short lived index page for this section. | Has the links to various flash resources on it. ( unlike this page ;-) ) |
| FL Menu - 16 kb. | A menu page I worked on, uses a semi-transparent sliding menu bar. | Was actually created to be called into a contents frame, as the second swf file after the intro. |
| Intro - 108 kb | The start for my current flash intro. | |
| Movie Show - 225 kb | A rather long introduction, but has interesting second scene to preview wallpapers, (worked with buttons to navigate sections in scene.) | This started as a project to highlight some of my 3D graphics, grew into a "Hey I can do this" effort. |
| Splash 2 - 259
kb
<aka - space 1> |
Rather interesting movie, some odd fades and such that can be had with swish, with dark music. (Swish) | Actually, I liked this, but not really what I wanted to use to represent the site as a "professional" ... A little on the "Homepage"ish side, and a big load. |
| Splash 4 - 142
kb
<aka space 2> |
2 scenes, again, dark music, some glowing effects over buttons, and a real lame attempt at a navigation panel. (Swish) | Continued from above, but again too dark for the main page, and the navigation panel was bad. |
| Splash 6 - 2 files. | Actually a frames page that uses the Intro for it base, and the world as a header. (Swish) | |
| WF World - 96 kb | Spinning globe (brought in as a seperate file - which was a little on the "This could have been easier" side. (Swish) | Not really meant to be a single page. |
These Links connect to the "HTML" page unless otherwise noted. Some efforts have used frames in the past in order to place various items in separate environments. (Splash 6). ie. 2 different flash programs on the same page.
The loss of numbers (going from splash 4 to splash 6) is only because the numbers between were just slight variations of the same product.
Although I don't consider myself a "Flash Programmer" by trade, It is one of my favorite tools in creating web pages. I use, (and have used) several tools to create flash ... I started with Macromedia Flash 4.0, but never mastered it well enough to consider using all the time. Flash 5.0 was where I jumped in and made a real effort. And even today with MX, creating Flash is not for the timid or novice web page designer. Swish (2.0) and Fireworks are great little programming tools which do make the work a little easier.
While flash is a wonderful and powerful tool, I would not want to use it as my "ONLY" source of creating web-pages. Products like Dreamweaver and even Front Page allow you to mix items with more attention to layout.
