For those of you interested in purchasing advertising space on web-friend.com:I am currently working on a price sheet for placing advertising on the web-friend.com site due to several requests I've received lately. If you are simply interested in a link to your site, and you have a site of your own, I am willing to exchange links at no charge. Simply visit the Add URL page, and submit your site.
If you are interested in having a banner or link to your site posted, then contact me so we can discuss the details. A rough idea of what I am considering is as follows.

Text links are 10 - 12 point, usually Arial or Verdana
Small text links are 8 point.web-friend has moved up into the top 300,000 web sites over the last year. Established in 1998, web-friend is one of the older domains on the web today. web-friend.com is hosted on very fast IRIX servers running Zeus software at city-net.com. There has been NO noticeable downtime since a few hours in late 2000 (during some server upgrades I believe). While the top 300,000 doesn't sound like much, consider that there are over 800 MILLION web sites on the Internet today. Multiple that by about 50 and you'll have a close guess as to the number of actual pages are out here. So, 300,000 of 800 Million is a pretty healthy web site that gets a lot of traffic. As of early July, web-friend was ranked at 292,184 according to Alexa data. There are over 50 of our 500 + pages here that post a Google rank of 3 or higher.
Statistics for July of 2003 showed a slight decline as people pushed away from the computer and started heading out into the summer sunshine. At present, web-friend averages about 550 to 650 visitors per day. These are unique IP visitors, not hits. Considering that a particular dial-up AOL server will register as one unique address, meaning that if 7 people use a local ISP, or the same AOL server, it will still only register 1 unique IP. Estimates are there are approximately 800 people visiting web-friend every day.
The home page usually see about 1,200 hits per day, Popular pages see between 400 and 800 hits per day.
